Grants for Colleges

Colleges can receive funding for a variety of research activities. Follow the links below to learn more.

The College and Community Innovation (CCI) Program offers six types of grants:

• Applied Research and Development (ARD) Grants
• Applied Research Tools and Instruments (ARTI) Grants
• College-University Idea to Innovation (CU-I2I) Grants
• Innovation Enhancement (IE) Grants (Formerly CCI grants)
• Industrial Research Chairs for Colleges (IRCC) Grants
• Technology Access Centre (TAC) Grants

For all CCI Grants, the applicant is a college administrator. College faculty members are involved as participants. The CCI Grants can fund applied research endeavours across a broad spectrum—health, natural sciences, engineering, social sciences and humanities.

Grants for college researchers

College faculty members who meet the eligibility criteria can participate in a number of other NSERC opportunities—either as applicants or co-applicants, depending on the grant. Please check the various grant descriptions for more details.
