College and Community Innovation Program National Announcement

The Honourable Gary Goodyear, Minister of State (Science and Technology), announced that NSERC will support 13 colleges and CEGEPs that partner with businesses to collaborate on applied research projects. These new College and Community Innovation Program projects were announced at Red River College in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The projects include partnerships related to information and communications technologies, environmental technologies, natural resources and energy, and commercialization of new products and technologies.

NSERC TechnoZone Exhibit Launch Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV)

NSERC is creating three new museum exhibits that explore how NSERC-funded researchers are enriching our society. Eye in the Sky: Unpiloted aircraft in a future near you, at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum features the work of Alan Lynch from the University of Alberta and Alejandro Ramirez-Serrano from the University of Calgary who work in the area of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

For the exhibit launch, NSERC hosted 40 Grade 6 students from Queen Elizabeth Public School for a hands-on learning experience.


Automotive Partnership Canada National Announcement
