The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) is pleased to announce funding for two new Strategic Partnership Grants for Networks. This support will enable networks to connect with companies and government to work together to address challenges in research areas where Canada can be a world leader.

The two Networks will receive close to $11 million over five years to address the negative impacts of climate change and explore ways to protect Canada’s ecosystems that provide precious natural resources.

The two funded projects are:

NSERC Permafrost Partnership Network for Canada
Dr. Stephan Gruber
Carleton University

NSERC ResNet: A network for monitoring, modeling, and managing Canada’s ecosystem services for sustainability and resilience
Dr. Elena Bennett
McGill University

The Strategic Partnership Grants for Networks have been consolidated into NSERC’s new research partnerships program, Alliance. Visit the Alliance grants webpage for more information.
