Executive Committee

The Executive Committee exercises the functions of the Council between Council meetings and acts as a governance and nominations and human resources Committee. The Executive also advises the Council and President on matters related to risk management, compliance and internal audit. The Chairs of the two Program Standing Committees are members of this Committee.

The Executive Committee acts on behalf of the full Council and will serve as the Audit Committee of the organization until April 2009, when an independent Audit Committee will be in place as per the Treasury Board Policy on Internal Audit.
