Visual Identity

NSERC has official guidelines for the use of the NSERC symbol for
any visual communication. Please review and follow the guidelines
below before using the NSERC symbol.

Clear space and minimum size

To protect the strength and integrity of our symbol, a clear space area,
free of competing visual elements, should be maintained. In the example below,
"X" represents the clear space around the symbol. "X" is equal to half the height and
width of the circle in the NSERC symbol. The minimum size of the symbol should measure no less than 1.5 cm (5/8 inch) in width.

Symbol do’s and dont’s

  • The symbol must always be proportionally scaled,
    and no modification can be made.
  • The symbol is available in both a colour and a black and white version.

The correct symbol is shown below.
