Further to the recommendations from the International Review of Discovery Grants and the Grant Selection Committee (GSC) Structure Review, NSERC has adopted a Conference model for the review of Discovery Grant applications. Consult our Web site for more details on the new peer review structure. The Grant Selection Committees have been replaced by 12 discipline-based Evaluation Groups that are listed below. Applicants to the Discovery Grants Program are asked to suggest an Evaluation Group, as well as Research Topics that best reflect the subject of their proposal. The Research Topics are identified along the lines of discipline groupings, and accordingly labelled (e.g., PHYS for Physics). Clicking on the Evaluation Group will provide the list of Research Topics and examples of the research evaluated within each. Applicants can select Research Topics from more than one Evaluation Group.
