The objective of Applied Research Tools and Instruments (ARTI) Grants is to support the purchase of applied research equipment and installations to foster and enhance the ability of colleges to undertake applied research, innovation and training in collaboration with local companies. |
| Major Resources Support Program |
| The objective of the Major Resources Support (MRS) Program is to facilitate the effective access of Canadian academic researchers to major and unique national or international (based in Canada) experimental or thematic research resources by financially assisting these resources to remain in a state of readiness for researchers to use. The MRS program also aims to facilitate access by Canadian researchers, who come together as national consortia, to major international resources located outside Canada, excluding any direct financial support towards the operating and maintenance costs of such resources. |
| Research Tools and Instruments Grants Program |
| This program is intended for university researchers. The objective of the Research Tools and Instruments Grants Program (RTI) Grants is to assist in buying or developing research equipment that costs more than $7,000. Items costing less than $7,000 each can be purchased with Discovery Grant funds or be included as a complement to a main piece of equipment being requested. |
