Summary
The Chair in Design Engineering is focused on enriching the design education of students at the University of Waterloo and across Canada, through the development and use of engineering design case studies. These case studies are developed based primarily on the experiences of students on work terms (currently a requirement of the co-op system) and through their participation in student design teams. Emphasis is placed on generating a culture of learning, wherein the documentation of the work term experience is expanded to place a greater emphasis on learning. A complementary emphasis is placed on supporting professors who choose to use case studies in their courses.Partner
