Terms and conditions of applying for contributors

Before you, as a contributor, can view or edit the shared content of an application, invite participants to an application, and view their information you must read and agree to the following terms and conditions. It is your responsibility to retain a copy of the agreed terms and conditions for your records.

You are certifying that:

• Consent has been obtained from the applicant to view and modify the shared content of the application, invite participants to the application, and view the information provided as part of the application.
• You understand that your responsibility is to help complete the application including collecting the missing information for the completion of the application and related documents, and entering these in the appropriate sections of the application/related documents; inviting participants if applicable, and viewing their information in order to identify missing information.
• You understand that the applicant has been mandated by the institution to submit the application through your research office, to administer the grant on behalf of the group/team, and comply with the eligibility requirements, Tri-agency Framework: Responsible Conduct of Research, the Tri-council policy statement: Ethical conduct for research involving humans and the Canadian Council on Animal Care policies as outlined in applicant’s terms and conditions. You also understand that it is the applicant’s responsibility to consent to sharing of information including personal information as outlined in applicant’s terms and conditions.
• If you are or have been (at any time during the past 12 months) a federal public servant, you have complied with, and will continue to respect, the Values and Ethics Code for the Public Sector.
• Consent has been obtained from trainees to include limited personal information about them in the application.
• You understand the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act and the Use and disclosure of personal information provided to the College and Community Innovation program as they pertain to the information of the team members/applicant.

Confirmation of acceptance of terms and conditions

If you have any concerns about your ability to comply with the terms and conditions listed above, contact NSERC staff responsible for the funding opportunity or your institutional officials immediately. Do not agree to the terms and conditions until you are certain that you can and will comply with all of the requirements.
