Dr. Joseph Khoury receives the 2022 NSERC Award for Science Promotion

The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) is pleased to announce the 2022 NSERC Award for Science Promotion recipient. Dr. Joseph Khoury of the University of Ottawa receives $10,000 through the individual award category for his work making math and statistics relevant and accessible to students across Canada.

For over 20 years, Dr. Khoury has promoted the importance of having a solid foundation in mathematics to young students. Dr. Khoury is the architect behind countless community outreach initiatives that highlight the relevance of math and statistics in significant discoveries and everyday applications that impact all of us.

Dr. Khoury’s significant and sustained contributions to the promotion of mathematics and mathematical education in Canada, have already earned him multiple awards. And today, we are thrilled to bestow this latest honour upon Dr. Khoury in recognition of his outstanding science promotion efforts.
