Women in Scholarship, Engineering, Science, and Technology (WISEST) win the NSERC Award for Science Promotion (Organization)

The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Awards for Science Promotion recognize outstanding contributions to science promotion in Canada. This year’s group award goes to Women in Scholarship, Engineering, Science, and Technology (WISEST) at the University of Alberta.

WISEST has made remarkable strides in engaging, educating and equipping women and other underrepresented groups in Canada by fostering participation, impact and success in science, engineering and technology fields.

As the recipients of this award, WISEST will receive $25,000 in support, allowing the group to continue its unwavering commitment to breaking down barriers and advancing diversity while empowering women in science, technology, engineering and math.
