Awards for science promotion announced

The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) is pleased to announce this year’s recipients of the NSERC Awards for Science Promotion. The organization award, valued at $25,000 goes to le Centre de démonstration en sciences physiques, based at Cégep Garneau, for its work showcasing scientific phenomena and sparking curiosity in academic audiences of all ages. The individual award, valued at $10,000 goes to Dr. Lynda Colgan of Queen’s University, for her work to make math and science fun and accessible to students and their parents alike.
