Yves Beauchamp

Yves Beauchamp

Yves Beauchamp (PhD West Virginia University; MScA Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, BEng Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières) is Vice-Principal, Administration and Finance at McGill University.

Dr. Beauchamp previously held the position of full professor in the department of mechanical engineering at the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS). He also was Vice Rector of the new campus and of development at the Université de Montréal and Director General at the ÉTS. At ÉTS, supported by a strong management team, he revitalized this university training ground for engineers, which became one of the largest in Canada under his leadership.

Dr. Beauchamp has received numerous awards and honours. He was elected Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering (2010), received the Medal of the National Assembly of Quebec (2013) and was made Knight of the National Order of Quebec (2014).

Dr. Beauchamp sits on a number of boards, including the Montréal Museum of Archaeology and History – Pointe‑à‑Callière, the Inno-Centre, the Canadian Academy of Engineering, the Centre de développement de la relève scientifique et technologique (CDRST), the Laval Cosmodôme and the Aéroports de Montréal Community Advisory Committee.

Dr. Beauchamp is a member of NSERC’s Executive Committee.
