LINK MANAGER – Form 183A

Link Manager enables you to:

  • browse applications and their associated forms;
  • view not-yet-linked forms between your form and one or more grant application(s);
  • link your form to a grant application.

Form 183A (if submitted by supporting organization)

Not Yet Linked

The Not Yet Linked section lists the grant application(s) to which you can link your form. Your form must be completed and successfully verified before it can be linked to an application. Instructions on how to verify your form can be found on the My Portfolio page.

To link your form to an application:

  1. In the Link column of the Not Yet Linked section, select the checkbox of the grant application to which you want to link your form.
  2. Select Save to create the link

Note: If Form 183A is submitted by the supporting organization, only the authorized representative of the organization can link Form 183A (and other associated pertinent documents) to an application (Form 101/102/103). Applicants will not be able to link this form to their application.

Changing Information

In order to change information on your form, the owner of the grant application must first unlink your form from the application. You can then change information on your form and re-link it to the application.

To unlink your form from an application:

  1. Contact the owner of the grant application and request that they unlink your form.
    Important: Once a grant application has been submitted, any form linked to that application cannot be unlinked or updated.

To change information on a Form 183A:

  1. Select Portfolio.
  2. In the Edit Form column of the table, select Edit. Your form appears.
  3. Select the link to the page requiring additional or corrected information.
  4. Make your change(s).
  5. Select Save.
  6. Select Portfolio. Your My Portfolio page appears.
  7. In the Verify Completeness column of the table, select Verify.

Browsing Applications

To browse applications:

  1. In the Title column of the Not Yet Linked or Existing Links section, select the application name you wish to view. The Browse Application page appears, showing the selected application and all forms that are linked to that application.
  2. Select one of the following:
    • View All - to view all of the forms available; or
    • The title link of the form or section – to view only that form or section.

Note: After you have linked your form to a grant application, you can browse the application by selecting Preview in the Preview/Print column beside the application on the My Portfolio page.

Form 183A (if submitted by applicant on behalf of supporting organization)

Not Yet Linked

The Not Yet Linked section lists the grant application(s) to which you can link your form(s). Your form(s) must be completed and successfully verified before it can be linked to an application. Instructions on how to verify your form(s) can be found on the My Portfolio page.

To link your form(s) to an application:

  1. In the Link column of the Not Yet Linked section, select the checkbox of the grant application to which you want to link your form.
  2. Select Save to create the link.

Existing Links

The Existing Links section displays the grant application(s) to which you have linked your form(s).

To unlink your form(s) from an application:

  1. From the Access Manager page of Form 101/102/103, unlink your form(s).
    Important: Once a grant application has been submitted, any form linked to that application cannot be unlinked or updated.

Changing Information

In order to change information on the form(s), and to ensure that the changes are reflected on the grant application,, the owner of the grant application must first unlink the form(s) from the application. You can then change information on the form(s) and re-link it/them to the application.

To change information on a Form 183A:

  1. Select Portfolio.
  2. In the Form 183A section, select the form that you want to edit.
  3. In the Edit Form column of the table, select Edit. Your Form 183A – Application Information page appears.
  4. Select the link to the page requiring additional or corrected information.
  5. Make your change(s).
  6. Select Save.
  7. Select Portfolio. Your My Portfolio page appears.
  8. In the Verify Completeness column of the table, select Verify.

Browsing Applications

To browse applications:

  1. In the Title column of the Not Yet Linked or Existing Links section, select the application you wish to view. The Browse Application page appears, showing the selected application and all forms that are linked to that application.
  2. Select one of the following:
    • View All - to view all of the forms available; or
    • The title link of the form or section – to view only that form or section.

Status Definitions – Form 183A

Status Definition
In Progress The form is being prepared and is not considered complete.
Completed The form has been successfully verified and is considered complete. A form must have a Completed status before it can be linked to an applicant’s primary form.

Status Definitions – Form 101/102/103

Status Definition
In Progress The form is being prepared and is not considered complete.
Completed

The form has been successfully verified and is considered complete.

  • Completed status is only granted when all identified co-applicants and/or participating organizations have linked their appropriate forms to the applicant’s primary form.
  • Only a form with Completed status can be submitted to post-secondary institution authorities for approval.
Submitted The form has been submitted to the postsecondary institution authorities for approval. A form with Submitted status is “view-only” and cannot be updated.
Returned The postsecondary institution authorities have viewed the form and have returned it to the primary applicant for revision.
Approved The postsecondary institution authorities have reviewed the form and have approved it for evaluation by NSERC.
