Science Rendezvous is an annual festival that brings the lab right to the public’s fingertips. The day-long celebration of science, engineering and technology introduces kids and adults to a culture of discovery and innovation.

Science Rendezvous reaches 150,000 participants each year and offers events for people of all ages and backgrounds. Over 6,000 Canadian researchers come together every year to present exciting experiments to the public, promote science education and inspire children to become the next generation of researchers by pursuing careers in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics fields.

Support through NSERC’s PromoScience Program is helping Science Rendezvous expand beyond its Toronto roots to reach new audiences across Canada in cities such as Inuvik, Northwest Territories, Saint John, New Brunswick and Burnaby, British Columbia. This growth is helping Science Rendezvous achieve one of the largest geographic ranges among science outreach programs in Canada and introducing more Canadian youth to some of our country’s leading researchers.
