The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) is pleased to announce funding of up to $21.45 million over six years for 13 research teams across the country through its Collaborative Research and Training Experience (CREATE) program. The grants will support the careers of students and post-doctoral fellows as they develop research and other professional skills. Their areas of research range from artificial intelligence and robotics for space exploration to health informatics and energy sustainability.
“By bringing together multidisciplinary teams to offer mentoring and skills training opportunities, CREATE complements the research training that students receive. This positions them well to succeed in their careers and make important contributions to Canadian science and engineering.”
– Alejandro Adem, NSERC President
