The following funding opportunities support the National Quantum Strategy by advancing Canada’s research, innovation and talent development in quantum science and technology through domestic and international collaborations.
Alliance Consortia Quantum grants
Support the development of large-scale domestic research collaborations in quantum science and technology to enable improved synergy across Canada’s regional quantum research and innovation hubs, federal laboratories, and other centres and stakeholders.
Alliance International Catalyst Quantum grants
Support researchers in Canada to initiate and develop research collaborations with international researchers from the academic sector in the areas of quantum science and quantum technologies.
Alliance International Collaboration Quantum grants
Support researchers in Canada to collaborate with international researchers from the academic sector on research projects in the areas of quantum science and quantum technologies.
Alliance Quantum grants
Support domestic research partnerships with organizations in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors, to reinforce, coordinate and scale up Canada’s research capabilities in quantum science and technology.
Collaborative Research and Training Experience (CREATE) program
Supports efforts to develop, attract and retain top quantum talent in Canada. Funding is available through the annual CREATE competition, and NSERC will fund at least three CREATE grants in quantum science and technology.
